On 14 May 2010 Intel Corporation and Society for Science and the Public announced the top winners at the world’s largest pre-college science competition which took place at San Jose, California, USA from 9 – 14 May 2010.
Youths from around the world who attended the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair showed us that the next generation of scientific and technological innovation is exciting and thriving,” I hope that the energy these high schools students exhibit about maths and science will inspire yet another generation of innovators, scientists and entrepreneurs which will improve our world” said Intel President and CE?O Paul Otellini.
This year, 1611 young scientists from 59 countries, regions and territories attended the Intel International Science and engineering Fair.
Congratulations to Christiaan Kruger and Werner Van Zyl from Upington, Northen Cape, these young innovators won fourth prize in the category Computer Science at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair . Eskom Expo for Young Scientists is very proud of their achievement.
